Celebrating the 2025 Peer Advocate Scholarship Winner

We are so excited to congratulate this year’s Peer Advocate Scholarship winner, Keaton Chamberlin. Well done and well-deserved, Keaton!

For the past ten years, Community Safety Network has funded the Peer Advocate Scholarship through the Fund for Public Education’s Teton County Scholarship Program. Each year, the fund awards over $1 million to Teton County high school students and we are honored to be a part of it.

“Ultimately, I dream of creating a world for young women and men everywhere that allows us to be safe in our own bodies and minds."

The Peer Advocate scholarship is awarded to a student who has gone through the Peer Advocate club training at Jackson Hole High School and has demonstrated a commitment to advocacy of healthy relationships and support of survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Winners of the scholarship often pursue degrees related to social work or go on to volunteer for sexual assault prevention organizations.

This year’s winner, Keaton Chamberlin, shares this about her future:

“As I go into college, I plan to join and even create other non-profit organizations that can help women and defend them. It’s a big goal, and I’m not exactly sure what it looks like, but I do know it is something I am passionate about. I will speak up for those who feel as though they cannot do it themselves.”

At CSN, we know that we are all advocates, and that age doesn’t determine whether someone can be an advocate, survivor, or change-maker. We are so grateful for all our peer advocates, for everything they do for the Jackson community and all they will continue to do.

We especially love watching students as they enter the club in ninth and tenth grades — sometimes as shy, quiet, and unsure underclassmen. They blossom into assured, strong, and outspoken leaders who are unafraid to advocate against dating violence to their entire school.

To all our Peer Advocate seniors graduating this year, congratulations! And we’d like to especially thank Marisa Corbett, Zoe Self, Celia Ward, Keaton Chamberlin, and Viry Hernandez. You’ve all shown an amazing commitment to advocacy, and we can’t wait to see all the things you accomplish down the road.
